In 2009 BFAMI was proud to present Iwona Blazwick, the Director of the renowned Whitechapel Gallery, in conversation with Dr Andrew Renton and Gilda Williams. Earlier that year the Whitechapel Gallery has re-opened following an extensive renovation project orchestrated by Iwona Blazwick who has shared the intriguing process with us as well as raising fond memories of the YBAs era with Andrew Renton and Gilda williams.

The luncheon included a private viewing of  the largest-ever UK retrospective of German artist Isa Genzken, which took place at Whitechapel gallery as well as of Goshka Macuga and her installation The Nature of the Beast.

Both talk and lunch took place at Whitechapel Gallery.
