At this years Women in Art Luncheon, the guest Speaker was Sue Webster who was in conversation with Hans Ulrich Obrist, Co-director of Exhibitions and Programmes and Director of International Projects at The Serpentine Gallery.
Sue Webster has worked collaboratively with Tim Noble since the 1980s and they are associated with the generation of artists that emerged after the YBAs. Some of their notable pieces consist of light projected against piles of debris collected from London streets with the resultant shadow creating an entirely different image, typically one of the couple themselves.
Prior to the talk, there was a private view of the Howard Hodgkin Exhibition. An introduction and wonderful insight into Hodgkin’s work was given by Andrew Graham-Dixon. This was followed by a brunch at 6 St. Chad’s Place.
