Van Gogh, as revealed through his letters – a rare insight into his ideas on life, art, nature and literature.
This event centred on a talk by the exhibition’s curator Ann Dumas, who also initiated and curated the Vollard exhibition in Paris at the Musee d’Orsay. Over 35 original letters corresponding to an exhibition of 65 paintings and 30 drawings were on show, in collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam and various private collectors.
