Haifa Museum of Art

The Haifa Museum of Art is located in an historic building built in the 1930's in Hadar Hacarmel. The Museum of Art focuses on Israeli and international contemporary art, and its collection includes 7,000 items, mostly of contemporary Israeli art.

Videostoria3 - Live Acts - Performing the Body"

Videostoria3 - Live Acts - Performing the Body" is the third chapter in the "Videostoria" series of exhibitions and concludes the process of mapping the emergence of video art in the 1960s and 1970s. The exhibition proved a great success attracting many visitors and received excellent reviews, which mentioned the great historical importance of the exhibition in both the international and the local context and drew many art lovers and art students, including important art-world figures to the museum.

The exhibition has been praised for its excellent portrayal of the relationship between video art and performance and body art, and was defined as a "must-see" for anyone who wants to understand the history of video art. .

Moreover, Ilana Tenenbaum – the exhibition curator and the director of the Museum's New Media Center – has been selected as the winner of the Ministry of Science, Culture and Sport's annual Curator Prize for her work on the Videostoria project.
